Meet Tiko, a 20-year-old entrepreneur who ventured into the world of car detailing after completing his studies in 2021. This self-driven individual discovered his passion for new sports cars and recognized the potential for growth in this industry. Inspired by his love for entrepreneurship, Tico established his business called Maretti, where he offers car detailing services by traveling to clients' homes.

Starting without a drivers license
Tiko's entrepreneurial journey began right after high school when he decided against pursuing further studies. He embarked on his business venture immediately after summer vacation. Starting locally, Tiko's went door-to-door in an upscale neighborhood, introducing his car detailing services. Out of the ten people he approached, two became his first paying customers. Even without a driver's license initially, he used a scooter with a homemade trailer equipped with essential supplies such as a water tank, vacuum cleaner, and drying tools. Determined to kick-start his business, Tiko's obtained his driver's license and invested in his first van, allowing him to carry more equipment and have additional assistance.

With a thirst for knowledge, Tiko's turned to YouTube to learn the ins and outs of car detailing. He extensively searched for car detailing and auto detailing tutorials, finding a wealth of step-by-step instructional videos that taught him how to make a car look completely new inside and out.

Word of mouth and guerilla marketing
Tiko's business operates on a flexible schedule, catering to his clients' needs. He also offers a maintenance program where he visits clients every two weeks or once a month to keep their cars looking fresh. Although his clients are not tied to any contracts, those who schedule another appointment within four weeks receive a discount, fostering customer loyalty.
Focused on providing high-quality services, Tiko constantly researches and seeks improvement. Interestingly, he invests very little in marketing. His success mostly relies on word-of-mouth referrals. Tiko actively engages with his audience through social media and uses business cards. He sometimes strategically places his cards under the windshield wipers of stunning cars, attracting the attention of car enthusiasts and leading to a chain of referrals. Inspired by his father, who owns a marketing company, Tiko incorporates guerrilla marketing strategies into his business model.

Stay positive
Acknowledging that challenges will arise, Tiko maintains a positive mindset. He believes that dwelling on negative experiences is counterproductive. Instead, he embraces mistakes as valuable learning opportunities. Even instances where he accidentally damaged an expensive car didn't deter him. Tiko understands the importance of resolving such situations professionally, allowing him to maintain positive relationships with his clients.

As for the future, Tiko remains optimistic. While he can't predict what lies ahead, he dreams of achieving success and potentially experiencing the luxurious lifestyle of lounging on a yacht in five years. For now, he remains focused on strategic growth and embracing the opportunities that come his way.
